THE RACIAL ARGUMENT (BLACK SIDE)

I wonder why white people are so racist. Why do they consistently ignore black pain? Why do they advertise only our problems? Why can’t they see that we're all just the same? I get up early every blessed morning. I work in the same system to make my pay. The difference is that when I drive my expensive car: White bigoted cops pull me over every day. White people don't see blacks as real citizens. The news paints me as a gangster, a criminal, or a thug. I know that slavery and Jim Crow are over, however, we still can't live Dr. King’s dream of love. My grandfather was lynched in the '60s. Racist killed him and burned down his store. My family got $1000 in delayed reparations. One grand isn't closure for what my Grams' endured. It doesn't matter that all my brothers attended college. Whites don't care that we all worked our way through school. A year ago my college educated brother was savagely beaten. A few bigoted cops confused him for some drug dealing fool. The cops claimed he was a known violent drug dealer. My brother had too much money and wore expensive chains. They beat him like an animal on the legs with batons. These racist cops didn't stop until my little brother was lame. Contrary to the news I have a wife. She is my queen. God lets me hold her close in my arms every night. I have four children who are all on the honor role. We pray as a God fearing family and they know to do right. I have never been a beggar or a whiner. I have to be a strong and willing to stand. It may mean I have to work longer and harder than others. It is a small price to pay to ensure you see me as a man! I don't live by your perceived white charity or abject favor. My family doesn't live of a monthly government check. I work hard to support our country and my community. I am African-AMERICAN and that deserves your respect! When I tell the truth I am not a race baiting black man. The truth is that life in the ghetto can be pure Hell! I have the right to demand that we all fix this problem. When you refuse to listen your ignorance forces me to yell! Too many white Americans see blacks only as complainers. Ignorance allows them to perceive only what they want to see. In truth a lot of blacks are hardworking and faithful Americans. Black or white we all deserve to live happy, honest, and free!
