A FATHERLY EXAMPLE
A son on his wedding day said: Dad, I'm going to be just like you. A hard working man; honest, faithful, and true. I will feed and clothe my children. I will adore and care for my loving wife. I will work hard so we can live in a good neighborhood. I will give my family a decent life. Dad, I will never doubt or waver in the belief that this can be. I know that it is possible because it’s what you gave to me.
The Father looked proudly at his son. He fought back a well of tears. He smiled through his wrinkles, Gained from the wisdom of many years.
He said: Son, my family is my joy in life.
You are the reason I worked hard to provide all of those things.
I wanted you to know, what being a good man really means. It took many hard worked hours to ensure you’d understand and be okay. I had to be an example, and work hard from the crack of dawn until to the close of day. I had many hardships, however, I got to hold my family every night.
Love, gave me the faith to realize; every challenge was worth the fight.
So, today to hear you proclaim that you aspire to be like me...
It justifies every test and trial that God allowed me to see. Son, a father must be an example to his son every single day. The example, provides him with the guidance to one day show his children the way.
