RAISE YOUR HAND

We raised our hands in her honor; to become more than just our best. We raised them to confirm that we could stand tall through any test. We raised our hands to serve and fight because liberty is never free. We raised our hands before Heaven so that our God could clearly see. We spoke the words with conviction and committed them to our souls. We spoke the words to swear that we would protect freedom's goals.

We swore to support our country from whatever threats she may see. We swore to be there for her on land, air, and sea. We swore to defend her in conflicts, trials, and war. We swore to lay down our lives on any earthly shore.

She promised she'd always honor us by keeping her dreams alive. She keeps that precious promise when our brothers lay down their lives. She will lower them in honor, with her flag out proud to see. She will lower them with distinction, as the bastions of the free. We ask that she not be saddened as they are lowered into time. Soon others will take up her call and raise their hands next time.
