HYPOCRISY From Michael Jackson To Bill Cosby...we continue to trust the biased and often wrong media

This is my last post for a while on Bill Cosby. What disturbs me the most about what I see in the media is the hypocrisy and bull we see in the press This American society that can ignore black churches being burned all over the south posted nonstop news coverage of "HALF" a story. Most of the people online posting that he is now a "verified" rapist never even read or look up the actual testimony. They ran with the sound bites and opinions offered in the news and media. This is the same news media that ignored the black children across the country that were killed during the 4th of July weekend. We are a society focused and fixated on negation! We don't want anyone to rise that we can't later tear down. It reminds me of the Michael Jackson case. Michael had spent millions on charity for kids. He had broken records giving his hard earned money (He performed throughout his childhood and adulthood) to give a better life to children of all colors. Someone claimed he touched a child! The media went crazy, and we all fed into it. We called him WACKO JACKO and took every opportunity that we could to tear him down. California even went about CHANGING its laws to try to trap him in a later case. When you research that trial, you see how malicious the media and the state were in trying to get Michael Jackson. His plane was even secretly wired and loaded with cameras to catch footage or tape of him confessing to the crime. When it was discovered that the family was a group of liars, the public still saw Michael as a molester. It was insane, and we didn't learn from it. Something in our countries makeup likes to believe and hold on to evil. It is disturbing. The other elephant in the room for these types of cases is the increased and warped press coverage when black celebrity men are accused of a sex crime. I only elucidate on that issue because it has historical connotation. There is huge historical evidence that white women, in general, continue to claim black men have raped them when feelings are spurned. It is sick, but it is a sad fact of our history that still happens today. Black women do it also but the huge upswing of African American men being freed because evidence and DNA have shown that they never raped or assaulted a woman is staggering. One prosecutor that ad a black man convicted of a crime said he knew he could get a conviction because the perpetrator was black. When the accused man was finally released the prosecutor asked for forgiveness. The man died without giving it to him! It is a sick fact that the law is historically fixated on prosecuting African American men. This is not to say that rape and molestation do not happen. The problem is that we convict in our minds before we give a fair trial and consider facts. Those who would manipulate us uses that to their advantage. That is the point! Sadly, black men have been on the negative end of this for generations! The DA in the Jackson case was happy that the law was changed between Michael's two allegations to "TRAP" Michael. I think this is the reason he spiraled into depression and drugs. It was a witch hunt. Only after his death did people finally start to care about him as a person again. It is too late for his kids who lost their father to the depression that the media caused. It is a fact that we let ourselves get lost in the ordure of the media. We attack without proof, and the COURT OF PUBLIC OPINION has become more destructive and efficient than the actual court system. This will eventually make it harder to facilitate fair trials because the judge, jury, and lawyers will already have formed opinions on what happened. This was evident with the judge that released the Cosby records. To paraphrase, he said he did it because Bill had gotten on a moral high horse about blacks. So he released the information to bring him down a few pegs??? Is that proper law? He knew the media would have a field day because the Associated Press was the entity pursuing the issue. The story was slanted from the beginning and now even those who thought him innocent attacked and took judgment without READING THE DARN STATEMENT or the year in which he purchased the Methaqualone! It was also ignored that many people in the 70's used the drug recreationally. It was popular and marketed as an enhancer that would not cause addiction. All Mr. Cosby said was that he purchased the drug then because the woman he was with agreed to take it with him. This was in the 70's, but the stories are being written as if he said he used it in recent years. I believe Mr. Cosby used the drug because it was popular. He used it at the Playboy Mansion because it was popular with them. They did articles on Methaqualone! No, the truth is that he did the drugs and admitted it. He never said he raped her or took advantage of her. When you consider the drug induced culture of the 60's, 70's, and 80's, I think we are hypocrites! We are not honest because we want him to be the rapist the media is promoting. So what have we learned from previous slants on character and false charges? We have learned nothing. Even if Mr. Cosby did all these things, we did not follow the tenets of this country and give him a fair trial or due process that ALL CITIZENS are entitled to in this country. NOPE we just called him a rapist and threw 50 years of his work in the civil rights movement, education, and comedy out the window. WHY? Because women we don't know SAID without evidence or proof that he did something to them. We also were hypocrites because we praise Elvis, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc... for excesses and drug use. We know many of them did hardcore drugs and did horrible things to women because they later talked about it...but they were only groupies so WHO CARES! That is the hypocrisy! That is why we fail, and that is why we will destroy the reputation of someone else in the future like we did Michael Jackson, Mike Tyson, Martin Luther King Jr., and numerous others. Why? Because we chose to believe the lies that were placed in front of us. We refuse to demand or seek the truth? So go ahead with your memes and slanderous posts on things you have not looked up for yourself. Follow the other lemmings off the cliff for the pied pipers of the media! Please be the puppeteer and not the puppet!
