A True Friend
Working at being my best friend is not an easy thing to do. I 'm not the most temperate person; I may throw a fist or two. God blessed me to find a friend that didn’t immediately tick me off. A homie that is honest and selflessly listen to me bloviate and talk. I am painfully aware that true friends are hard to find. They are attuned to an individual and thus they are one of a kind. I am happy to have a real friend; even though I daily pity his plight. Its hard being the voice of reason when I just want to fight. I count him as a asset, even though I often give him Hell in life He has saved me from myself, when I am drowning in reckless strife. I know when our life's journey is over and I stand before my God. I will thank him for my friend who stood with me against all odds.
